What We Can Offer your Child
We offer a safe and fun learning environment
for your child giving them the care and attention they need to develop their
potential with as much one on one attention that we can as well as socialization
with other children through minding and groups. We will be able to offer your
child day care in my own home and am able to accommodate shift workers. We will
also be able to include school pick up and drop off within my local area from St Thomas Primary School and Nursery, Our lady Star of the Sea Primary School and Nursery.
We am registered to look after 6 children up to the 31st August following their 5th birthday (2 of these can be a baby up to 12 months) and 6 children aged 5 to 8 years, with the total of these age groups to not exceed 12 at any one time. We can also look after children age 8 years and over, up to when they leave primary school age dependent upon numbers. As we currently have 2 children of our own in the early years age range we are able to look after 10 children in total under the age of 8 years providing the above ratios are not exceeded. We have full access to a 7 seater car at all times of childminding and this is equipped with all relevant child car seats that are appropriate for age and height and have never been in an accident as well as relevant business car insurance.
Activites and Outings
Our aim is to provide learning through fun play with a focus on both numeracy and literacy and the guidance set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We plan to have at least 1 outing a month to either Farmer Parr's, Blackpool Zoo or the Sea Life Centre to enable the pre school children to learn about the animals in our world. We also plan to take regular trips to play sessions and groups that are available in our area to encourage social skills. We attend a regular music and movement class called Jo Jingles which the children enjoy and enables us to go into the soft play after the class. The children will learn about the various food groups, shapes, colours and textures on visits to the local shops and supermarket.
